UIS Coil Tec Successfully Rolled Out Across Cadent Gas Depots
UIS Tooling & Technologies has successfully completed the rollout of the UIS Coil Tec across Cadent Gas operational depots throughout the UK, marking a key milestone following the product’s development and first deployment.
The rollout, delivered over a two-week period, saw the UIS team working closely with Cadent Gas depot teams to introduce the UIS Coil Tec into everyday operations, supporting safer and more efficient handling of coiled PE pipe within depot environments.
Collaborative Development with Cadent Gas
The UIS Coil Tec was developed in collaboration with Cadent Gas to address a recognised safety and manual handling challenge associated with coiled PE pipe. By engaging directly with operatives, safety teams, and engineers during the design and trial phases, UIS ensured the solution was practical, robust, and aligned with real operational requirements.
The UIS Coil Tec provides:
- A safer, more controlled method for handling coiled PE pipe
- Reduced manual handling risk for depot operatives
- Improved efficiency for both depot and site operations
- Enhanced consistency in safe working practices
From Concept to Operational Deployment
The transition of the Coil Tec from development and trials into full operational use across multiple Cadent depots highlights the effectiveness of the solution and the strength of the partnership between UIS and Cadent.
